The Miracle of New life.
A famous hymn tells us that every newborn baby affirms that God still loves the world. I agree. The miracle of birth and the joy of holding a newborn in your arms is proof that there is hope for us.
Holding my little nephew brought back memories of holding my little brother when he was born. Of course, at the time, I wasn't aware of the magnanimous birthing process!
I've always been in awe whenever I've held a baby. It's nothing short of a heavenly experience! The little bundle of joy is unaware of the positive effect it has on all around. Although completely helpless and dependent, every baby has the power to wrap everyone around around it's pinky finger.
Have you noticed how each visitor is reminded of their own experience with newborns, with mothers exchanging anecdotes of their own labour? How all the excruciating pain the mother has just gone through seems to have vanished into thin air? It is truly a labour of love!
God has been really kind and seen us all through so many rough times. His mercy is unconditional just like His love. All we have to do is believe. Jesus gifted us this new life on the eve of His Resurrection. What an affirmation of faith!
